President’s Message

Our 2022-23 Season

Hello Friends,

I am pleased to welcome you to the 54th Season of the Norfolk Chamber Consort.  Our artistic directors, Andrey Kasparov, Oksana Lutsyshyn, and Wayla Chambo, have planned excellent programs for us featuring the finest music of old and new composers performed by world-class musicians who will truly bring it to life.

NCC’s 54th season includes four performances. It opens with Worth Your Bux!, consisting of works by Dietrich Buxtehude and those he influenced, including J.S. Bach, Handel and Telemann. Building on the success of our first two Christmas programs presented in virtual and blended formats, the Consort will present another Christmas program, consisting of both novelties and all-time favorites. The February program, entitled “The Art of Improvisation,” features works based on improvisation from the written-out improvisatory passages of movements by Bach and Beethoven to modern times. The season concludes with “The Game of Pairs” featuring major works by the Baroque and Modern masters written for two instruments, whether it be a double harpsichord concerto by C.P.E. Bach or any other possible combination of two instruments.

Please click on the “Tickets & Concerts” tab to see program details for Worth Your Bux and to purchase tickets.

Additionally, you may donate to the Consort by clicking on the “Donate” tab. Your tax-deductible gifts are vital to continue the work of our artists who keep bringing this great music our way.

If you are interested in helping by becoming a member of our board of directors, do not hesitate to ask a board member.

We look forward to the coming season and seeing all of you there!
